1bee AI started in July 2024 with one observation: every company had seen an AI demo that looked incredible in a meeting and then quietly disappeared. Nobody was short on ideas for what AI could do. They were short on someone who'd actually wire it into the systems they use every day and keep it running.
How it started
Back in late 2022, while Vaibhav was still on Stream's enterprise sales team, ChatGPT's first version had just launched and Claude's workbench was newly available. He started experimenting on the side: could a model handle outbound B2B lead generation end to end? Hyper-personalizing emails at scale, running follow-ups, doing the parts of prospecting that ate the most time?
That side experiment became a single full-stack AI agent, internally called Ross: a Bee AI Sales Rep built to handle outbound prospecting from first touch to booked meeting. Ross worked well enough, over the better part of two years testing it alongside his day job, that when Vaibhav left Stream in April 2024, he started 1bee AI that July to build on it full time. Ross has since been rebuilt and renamed Mike, our AI Sales Manager, and now leads a roster of 11 AI Employees covering sales, support, recruiting, branding, and more.

1bee AI is founded by Vaibhav Agrawal, who spent the five years before starting it inside B2B enterprise sales, not building products from the sidelines. He started as a founding SDR at VideoKen, moved to Esper.io running inbound for the APAC and MENA regions, then joined Stream as a founding member of their APAC & EMEA sales team, booking meetings and closing opportunities across a dozen-plus verticals and eventually working from the US office to cover Western US markets, generating pipeline for more than $1M in ARR and personally closing and winning $284K in deals along the way. By the time he left enterprise sales, he'd spent years on the receiving end of exactly the manual, repetitive pipeline work that AI Employees are now built to remove.
Alongside that sales career, he founded AirCampus in 2021, starting with a 10-learner offline cohort in Goa and a 3-person team. AirCampus grew into fully remote cohorts, and Vaibhav led a nonprofit initiative end to end for a top-tier global NGO that taught 1,800+ underprivileged learners in 15 months and helped them land SDE roles at MAANG companies including Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Intel. AirCampus later became the platform for 1bee AI's earliest work, building AI sales-agent tooling and teaching AI agent and automation skills to professionals across the US, remotely. In its last 18 months alone, AirCampus has crossed 5,000+ learners, including professionals from Harvard, Amazon, and Penguin.
